jacen + anakin =

The brothers sit on opposite sides of the spectrum in the matter of the Force.

Anakin thinks the force should be used like a tool --- like a hammer. ^_^ Anakin thinks that the force should be used all the time for just about everything while Jacen thinks it should be used only where needed. Not for evil... and to HELP. While Anakin Solo is more like their grandfather, Anakin Skywalker --- Jacen Solo is more like his Uncle Luke.

In many instances, they're seen arguing. One that stands out is in Star by Star, during the battle meld. One of the strike team members, a bith named Ulaha Kore, is getting maimed and tortured by a voxyn. Anakin sends a message to Jacen through the battle meld, telling him to tell Ulaha to react a certain way. Jacen doesn't get the whole message and he tells Ulaha [through the battle meld] to use what she has left of her strength to attack. Ulaha attacks and gets herself hurt even more. And that causes Anakin to get angry at Jacen. O_O There are many times when Anakin wonders if he should've let Jacen come along with the strike team. ...and that's only one instance.

Anakin does look up to Jacen though. In Agents of Chaos: Jedi Eclipse, Jacen and Anakin are at Centerpoint Station --- Anakin can activate the station and the brothers are debating whether or not to use it against the Yuuzhan Vong. It's a critcial point in the battle and they have no time to lose... that's when Anakin starts panicing. He looks to Jacen for advice. Jacen doesn't think Anakin should use it [being the semi-pacifist he is] so Anakin doesn't.

After Anakin dies, Jacen gets captured by the Yuuzhan Vong and taken to the YV homeworld of Yuuzhan'tar. Jacen has a lot of time to think about the death of his brother. He sees apparations of him [a la Yoda/Luke] and he speaks to the apparation. He chases it throughout the overgrown world that used to be Coruscant. One of the strongest scenes in Traitor is when he's sitting in his old living room that's been run over by Yuuzhan Vong "greenery" --- and he's thinking about his family and his brother. Cobwebs gather on him as he continues to wonder what's going to become of him.

Overall, Anakin and Jacen get in many arguments about many different things but they love each other. XD
