WHY NOT JUST GO TO THE CONVENTION?: In December of 2009 when Celebration V was announced, there was a group of us who were instantly saddened by the news. We were happy it was finally announced, but sad that we couldn't go. We all had our reasons -- most of us had already bought our tickets for Dragon*Con, which is less than a month after the announced date for CV. We couldn't make it to Orlando in August and then Atlanta, Georgia a few weeks later so we figured we'd have our own brand of Star Wars fun on the weekend of Celebration V! We'd be partying with all the attendees in spirit, from our own homes instead of Orlando.

WHEN IS THE NONCON?: It'll be the same weekend Celebration V is taking place, August 12 - 15, 2010. There might not be as many "events" on the days of the 12th or 13th since a lot of us will have work, but we'll see what we can do! ;D

WHERE IS THE NONCON?: It's on the internet! Meaning you can attend from where you happen to be that weekend as long as you have a computer and the internet (or a phone, or whatever you use! :D).

HOW MUCH IS IT?: It's free! We're discussing some possible (and totally optional) charity-related things to do during the NonCon, but to take part in all the listed events (and events we will list in the future), it doesn't cost a thing.

THE INTERNET?: Yep! Most of the events will take place either over AIM or on the forum. Some things might also happen on ontd_starwars (a Star Wars livejournal community) as well. Other sites/programs are currently being discussed as possible things to use as well, but the ones already listed will be the main ones.

I'M IN! HOW DO I JOIN?: Just head on over to the how to register page and follow the steps there! Once you send your form in, you can check the attendee list where we will periodically update the list of who is coming.
